Why SASH was formed

(MEMBER OF BRITISH ALLIANCE OF HEALING ASSOCIATIONS)

SCOTTISH CHARITY NUMBER SC 017169

On 2nd February 1975, the inaugural meeting of the

SCOTTISH ASSOCIATION OF SPIRITUAL HEALERS (SASH)

was held at its Headquarters, 2 Melville Street, Edinburgh

(Edinburgh College of Parapsychology).

This Association was constituted by members of the National Federation of Spiritual Healers (NFSH) in Scotland and was, of course, affiliated to that body.

In later years the affiliation with NFSH was dropped, and SASH became a member of the British Alliance of Healing Associations (BAHA) within the Confederation of Healing Organisations (CHO), which was formed in July 1980.

The main aim of SASH is to centralise the administration of healing in Scotland, and to form a Scottish Register so that patients may be referred to their nearest healer.

It should be emphasised that the ultimate efficiency of the Association depends on a comprehensive coverage of all areas of Scotland.
